The Russian Revolution broke out in 1917 in the month of February and March, which was expected, as Russians had been discussing revolution by the end of 1916. It was a political revolution that overthrew the monarchy of Nicholas II, who came to power unprepared to become the Emperor and Tsar of all the Russians. His government was poorly run and it gave little to no civil or other rights to the people of Russia.

There were three major reasons for the revolution, 俄国革命代写

The first being that world war I brought great economic and social strains on the society of Russia, the second being the failure of the Tsarist government, and the final was the behavior of Nicholas II, which undermined popular legitimacy that was left to the monarchy. It was also a social revolution because the people of Russia needed a good leadership who would take the economy out of turmoil, as the people had access to poor working conditions, low wages, and hazards of industrialization. Tariffs, higher prices, and even higher taxes significantly affected the standard of living of an already poor population. In early 1900s, the defeat of the Russians in the Russo Japanese War led to rising unrest which eventually tied up to the bloody massacre of unarmed protestors in 1905 outside of the palace.

The major impact that this revolution had was that Tsar Nicholas II decided to abdicate which ended the Romanov dynasty. The revolution changed the country from its autocratic regime. The long term standing of the country and the problems in Russia, as explained above was the primary reason for the revolution, with the living situation of the masses at such a deteriorate stage, it was only natural for people to want change.

In the period of late 19th to the early 20th century Russia was a very backward country in terms of agricultural with immense poverty. The royal family, the noble part of the society and clergy owned most of the land fit for agriculture, but most of the peasants owned only between 3 to 10 acres of land with many having to earn their livelihood with access to only 2.5 acres or less. (Russian Revolution) Poverty was spread not only in the rural areas but also in the urban areas. In addition, the Russians faced heavy casualties in World War I, as they were ill equipped for battle. All of these reasons led to the revolution of 1917.

Bolsheviks Come to Power 俄国革命代写

In October 1917, the Bolsheviks came to power, because the provisional government was too weak, and combined with other factors mentioned below, paved way for the Bolsheviks to seize and rise to authoritative positions. Many people did not trust the provisional government as it was not elected and hence lacked legitimacy, and it was a temporary body that did not have the right to exercise long term plans and policies. The real power was held by the Soviets and many of the important decisions were left to the Constituent Assembly.

Many socialists and liberals voted against each other and there was a lack of clear and understandable policies, which gave rise to tis movement. Vladimir Lenin gave a speech discussing what is to be done in which he argued that forming a party composed of professional revolutionaries would help in not only cultivating the revolutionary thinking among the people but also help in providing leadership and making leaders within the revolution as well. At the same time many Marxist groups developed as well; they had their own ideology and strategy. As Lenin rose to power he started transforming the state until finally he transformed Russia into a totalitarian state.

Karl Marx had predicted that the state would eventually lose its form under colonialism.

So Stalin changed the Russian state and transformed I into a totalitarian controlled by a powerful and complex bureaucracy. He imposed five year plans which imposed the rule of the government on the country’s economy. Hence all economic activity was brought under one control which was led by the government. One ideology was introduced, the use of secret police and terror to control the population was also made common. Everybody was given goals to achieve, those who achieved them were rewarded and those who did not were punished severely. There were no human rights, and no dissent was allowed, every person had to listen to one person who held absolute power over all the people of the country.

Similarity to Animal Farm 俄国革命代写

George Orwell’s novel “Animal Farm” is a widely celebrated novel which depicted the Russian Revolution of 1917, which resulted in a government that was even more oppressive, worse, and totalitarian than the one that was overthrown. Many of the characters, situations, and events of the novel are similar and sometimes parallel to those who were active in the Russian Revolution such as Manor Farm which is Russia’s model, whereas, characters like Old Major, Snowball, and Napoleon represent some of the more dominant people of the revolution. 俄国革命代写

Mr. Jones is a reflection of Tsar Nicholas, which showed an incompetent leader under whose reign the animals suffered, leading lives of longing, poverty and hunger. Lenin is represented by Old Major who introduced a new concept of Animalism and provides its principles, a theory which suggested that all animal showed revolt against the oppressor and that all of them are equal. Old Major hates mankind just like Lenin and is stubborn in his views (Animal Farm).

Snowball on the other hand is another one of Lenin’s Allies, known as Leon Trotsky, who in the book just like the human counterpart who believed that a worldwide series of rebellions was necessary in order to bring about change. The book is an accurate depiction of how this rule made things worse for the people of Russia, and shows a truer picture of the decisions that were taken to bring about change in this country.
